A Saturday Morning Walk

In the context of just arriving in New York from Washington D.C., I was excited that our hotel stay was going to be in the city of Auburn.  It was a short walk to South St. where two significant figures in American history resided: Harriet Tubman and William Seward.
Both exhibited great leadership during tumultuous times. They sacrificed personal gain for the good of many others and helped build a nation that is an example for others of equality and opportunity.

There seems to be a high level of patriotism in this state.  The Stars and Stripes are prevalent in many places...
I am very grateful for the selflessness of those who have come before and am inspired to follow their example.
